On April 26, 2007, Qatar National Cancer Society represented by Dr. Abdul Azim Abdul Wahab  – Vice chairman of board and Mr. Faisal Alsaada – member of the Board of directors received a key of Reno car donated by Amana Company, full thanks and greetings.

3 – on May 23,2007 Qatar National Cancer Society represented by Dr. Mahasin Okasha – coordinator of health culture- organized workshop to teach nurses how examine the Breast Cancer  at Abo Hamoor Health Centre, such workshop aimed to the following :

- Spread society's message to achieve requirements of different communities on health culture concerning cancer disease and how to make prevention.

- to reply to questions raised out by nurses of the centre, related to increasing their awareness on how to make prevention against cancer disease, as well as how to deal with cancer patient.

- providing the centre with booklets, news, and health magazines issued by Qatar society cancer combating, to increase awareness among employees and patients.

- providing cultural library of the centre with all data concerning cancer disease in a form of papers and magazines serve public health and cancer patient privately. The Qatar National Cancer Society organized such workshop, and nursery team who work in morning zam had benefited from this workshop on that day. Society promised to repeat organizing a workshop in each week for a period of three consecutive weeks, until all team members who are working at Abo hamoor health centre become able to participate and benefit from such workshops.

4 – On June 4, 2007 Qatar National Cancer Society  has participated effectively on a program allocated to develop services introduced to woman at Alkhor, Ashamal, and Algowairia, this program is organized by the  Supreme Council for family affairs.

According to honorable invitation offered by Supreme Council for family affairs, Qatar National Cancer Society  has participated on a meeting organized and held under auspice of the council at Millennium Hotel on June 4, 2007 to discuss a program aimed to enable at Alkhor, Ashamal, and Algowairia municipalities.

 Many representatives of government and local institutions have participated on this meeting, and in a presence of the General Secretary of Supreme Council for family affairs who headed and opened the meeting with key address saying that: the council is keen to strengthen and consolidate partnership between government and local institutions in a manner to achieve the goals of development of family and it's different categories.

Objectives of the meeting:

1 - Coordination and consultation related to development of woman at at Alkhor, Ashamal, and Algowairia.

2- To carry out the goal of Supreme Council for family affairs on development and care over family and it's different categories (men ,women, children and people of special need) without geographical limits, because family at any place in Qatar gets equal care by plans and programs executed by the council.

3 –providing sites for marketing products of decent families.

4 – Establishing modern educational and training centers for women and girls in fields to care about people of special need.

5 – to build abilities, awareness and culture for families in all fields for example health culture, and to suggest concern authorities who will be responsible for executing such objectives.

6 – one of the objectives of the meeting is to reinforce cooperation between participated institutions, and the council shall follow up the execution of this goal.

Dr. Mahasin Akasha – coordinator of health culture programs at society – has participated on such meeting on behalf of Qatar National Cancer Society. She explained to the meeting the view of Qatar National Cancer Society  which is supporting all efforts done by other concerned and participated authorities who are obliged to perform their roles to achieve permanent development for all categories of Qatar community. Within the meeting Dr. Mahasin Akasha explained to the officials of supreme council for family affairs that Qatar National Cancer Society  if required is ready to carry out all missions of health culture, and training of women at the above mentioned places, and at any place in state of Qatar. And the society is keen to help and enable women at such places, through increasing their health culture which will return with benefit, progress and health to their family and to Qatar community in general.
