On Wednesday corresponding March 14,2007, Sheikh Dr. Khalid Bin Jabor Al-Thani – the Head of Gulf Union of Societies for  combating cancer – has presided a meeting of board of director held in Jeddah city. The meeting reviewed activities of the union in the previous year, then approved and discussed the programs of the Gulf societies for combating cancer' activities and gulf union cancer for the year 2007 – 2008. as well as next Gulf conference is designated and new societies are accepted to join the Union.

Gulf union for combating cancer has been established since 6 years, the union base office The Qatar National Cancer Society  – Doha.

The Qatar National Cancer Society  was honored by environment friends centre, for  it's participation on organizing the ( Eighth Heath food Carnival )which is organized by the centre in coordination with Qatar National Cancer Society from 10 – 15 of March 2007, Mr Ahammed Abu Naahia was handed over a merit certificate and armor on behalf of the society.
