ACTIVITIES DURING THIS MONTH (OCTOBER 2004)

• The volunteers paid a visit to cancer patients in Al-Amal Hospital and distributed memorial presents to them, on 8/10/2004.
• Organization of an awareness march campaign against breast cancer at the Corniche of Doha, since breast cancer survivors took part in the march, t-shirts and caps bearing the Society logo were distributed, on 9/10/2004.
• Participation in the Qatar University for boys ninth exposition by distributing manuals and posters to students and giving them instructions through the presence of a volunteer from the Society.
• The Society is preparing a women workshop at Qatar University for girls, and that under the title “Means of Early Diagnosis of Breast Cancer” during the Holy month of Ramadan.
• Preparation of a charitable market in the Holy month of Ramadan at the heritage village, since it consists of handworks for cancer patients and distribution of manuals and posters to the public and giving the required instructions through the presence of volunteers from the Society.
• An office of the Qatar National Cancer Society has been opened in the Al-Amal Hospital, as volunteers from the Society will be present there in order to support the cancer patient and provide assistance for him in association with the administration of the Hospital.
• Paying a visit to cancer patients in Al-Amal Hospital during Eid Al-Fitr and presents will be distributed to the patients.
• Organization of a workshop at Al-Wakra Secondary School for girls, two weeks after the Holy month of Ramadan.
• Paying a visit to the elderly and children who are cancer patients at Hamad Medical Corporation and Al-Rumailla Hospital and distributing Garangawo presents and memorial gifts to them from the Society, during the Holy month of Ramadan.
