The activities of 2003, were as follow:

• Participation in Doha Nights Carnival – from 23/1/2003 to 14/2/2003, the participation included distribution of posters on caner and safe food as well as the presence of a doctor and a nurse in the stadium to answer any question on the same disease.
• Participation in giving a lecture on “Food and cancer and means of protection against it, at Qatar Petroleum dated 10/3/2003, to be given by Dr. Abul Azim Hussein, deputy chairman of the board and head of general surgery section at Hamad medical
Corporation.
• Organization of the women workshop on “Early Examination of Breast Cancer”, by having as a guest the Expert Rolla Al-Saffar from Bahrain Cancer Society on March 2003, it comprises the following:
a) workshop on 16/3/2003 (in the afternoon) on Means of Early Diagnosis of Breast
Cancer.
b) workshop on 17/3/2003 (in the morning) under the title “How to deal with a cancer patient, and that at Hamad Medical Corporation.
c) workshop dated 17/3/2003 (in the afternoon) on Early Diagnosis of Breast Cancer.
• Participation in an awareness campaign for Secondary Schools for girls during the second half of the school year, and that by paying a visit to the office of the Society by schools, and giving lectures by volunteers who are experts in psychotherapy section. As the lectures consisted of details on the means of early detection of breast cancer, through medical film projection during the lecture from 24/2/2003 to 30/4/2003.
• Organization of the First Gulf Conference on breast cancer, and that from 5/6/2003 by having as guests doctors from all over the world. As the conference comprised a women workshop during which 50 women were trained everyday on the Early Examination of the Breast Cancer, in addition to giving lectures by doctors who are experts in cancer field.
• Organization of a lecture on breast cancer in the British School as manuals were
distributed to all the students, the lecture was given by a volunteer, Mrs. Nelver Gassan and that on 27/11/2003.
• Distribution of presents and Garangawo bags to all the all the children suffering from cancer in the Hamad Medical Corporation, on the occasion of the Holy month of Ramadan, and that on 10/11/2003.
• Participation in a lecture on cancer generally, and on breast cancer which will be held at Rass Gas, as it is going to be given by Dr. Najati Bassisso and Dr. Ossama Al-Hamsi.
