IMPORTANT ACHIEVEMENTS 2000 2001/2 2003 2004 FUTURE ACHIEVEMENTS


The activities of 2001- 2002, were as follow:

Dr. Huda Turnki gave a lecture on (How to build bridges with others) dated 8 January 2001, in Um Salal Mohamed Secondary School for girls.
Dr. Shefaa Al-Naseri gave a lecture dated 24/1/2001, on (Food and Cancer) at the Ministry of Civil Service Affairs.
Announcement of research competition in Um Salal Secondary School for girls held on 20/2/2001.
Organization of an information program about cancer, as Yarmuk Preparatory School for boys paid a visit to the Society on 27/2/2001, in order to provide you with all the information about the disease, and Mr. Mahmoud Al-Khateb, the nutritionist and volunteer in the Society gave the lecture.
Dr. Shefaa Al-Naseri gave a lecture on the definition of cancer, its causes and means of protection against it, through periodic examination and early diagnosis of the disease on 18/3/2001.
Dr. Asmaa Al-Hassan gave a lecture on cancer with a child) dated 7/4/2001 in ladies section at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
Cultural week at the Qatar University held from 14 to 18/4/2001.
- A lecture was held in the Diplomatic Club on Monday 30/4/2001, gave by Dr. Mohamed Wali, under the title “Danger Factors for Breast Cancer and Endometrium Cancer.
Organization of activities of the smoking control program in Land Mark Compound for the period of 26-31/5/2001.
Filming a documentary realized on 16/6/2001 in the office of the Society at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs.
Continuing the participation in the national campaign for early examination of cancer, which started from 25/9/2001 and ended on 30/4/2001.
Organization of the Arab Forth Cancer Conference in Doha, from 28-31/3/2002 (Ritz Carleton)
Continuing the awareness campaign activities.
Participation in World Celebration Days, such as World Health Day and Smoking Control Day.
Organization of awareness lectures in penal institutions and prisons from 23/6/2002 to 25/6/2002.
Participation in Qatar Summer Wonder Festival.
